About the Role:Join a high-impact engineering team supporting some of the most complex capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry. As an Electrical & Controls Subject Matter Expert, you will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, guiding the design, review, implementation, and commissioning of critical electrical, automation, and building systems that support advanced manufacturing and research facilities. Here's a glimpse into your day to day:- Serve as the technical lead for electrical, controls, automation, and building systems on large-scale capital projects.
- Partner with project stakeholders, engineering teams, and contractors to develop and deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop, review, and approve technical requirements, specifications, engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and system documentation.
- Ensure designs meet applicable safety, quality, GMP, sustainability, and engineering standards.
- Provide technical guidance on electrical distribution systems, HV/LV power, generators, UPS, grounding, lightning protection, controls, automation, and process equipment.
- Support the design and implementation of building systems, including BMS, EMS, fire alarm, security, communications, and IT infrastructure.
- Participate in contractor selection, procurement activities, bid evaluations, and supplier assessments.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, maintainability, efficiency, and overall project value.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and resolution of design, construction, and commissioning issues.
- Review and approve testing, commissioning, qualification, and validation documentation, including FATs, SATs, URS, DQ, IQ, and OQ deliverables as required.
- Support startup, commissioning, and qualification activities to ensure successful project execution and operational readiness.
- Collaborate across project teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting critical facilities related projects, preferably within the Pharma/Biotech/Life Science industry.
- Professional Engineer license is desired.
- Strong collaborator with ability to create and maintain effective working relationships and willing to challenge behaviors and actions.
- Demonstrated practitioner of practical problem-solving.

- Strong leadership qualities with motivational ability to direct others in a dynamic and complex environment through change.
