Full Job Description
Opensity Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer with advanced skills in Fortinet, Cisco, Azure Networking, global enterprise experience, and a strong knowledge of network technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex networks, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. This role involves providing technical leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving initiatives to optimize network architecture.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of robust and scalable network infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
  • Configure and manage firewalls using Fortinet technologies to ensure the highest level of security.
  • Design and implement complex routing and switching solutions using Cisco switches.
  • Design, implement and manage a global Meraki wireless environment.
  • Acts as the liaison and subject matter expert between the architecture, security, and engineering teams to integrate technical solutions to existing multifaceted, complex, customer-facing production environments.
  • Responsible for change management procedures and detailed ownership, planning, and execution of highly complex, secure, high risk, multifaceted changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams and individuals as appropriate.
  • Acts as one of the top-level escalation points for all networks and related technical designs.
  • Respond, analyze, and follow up on outstanding network issues at all levels; ensure timely problem resolution.
  • Strive to improve communications and teamwork across organizations.
  • Other key functions include carrier management, incident management, problem management, capacity management, service acceptance, event management, performance management, and standards compliance, with a focus on service restoration, sustainability, and proactive service improvement.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related experience.
  • Active professional-level networking certification:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
    • Fortinet NSE7 Certified: Secure Networking
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional(CCNP):Enterprise
  • 10+ years' experience in a large multi-platform environment or equivalent technical experience.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Azure Networking Services: In-depth knowledge of VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, DNS, and Private Link.
  • Proven experience with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and Secure Access Service Edge(SASE).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, security, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical/trouble shooting skills with extensive work experience; experience in providing situational analysis for networking/telecommunications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent customer orientation, support, and interfacing experience with the ability to persuade, convince, or influence others to take appropriate action.
  • Ability to lead and impact others at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven success in dealing with concurrent problems and issues effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Advanced understanding of business strategy as it relates to network environments.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions.
  • Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.

The Compensation range for this role is 135,000 to 175,000 USD per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
