About the RoleVerse Medical is hiring a Senior DME Compliance & Accreditation Specialist to own our Medicare audit and accreditation readiness program. This is a hands-on, in-office role for someone who has personally managed a company's side of a Medicare audit or DMEPOS accreditation survey - organizing documentation, preparing the facility, and serving as the point of contact for the auditor or surveyor - and knows exactly what they look for because they've done that work themselves.
This is not a medical chart auditing or clinical coding role. We are not looking for someone whose background is reviewing individual patient charts for coding accuracy or medical necessity. We're looking for someone who has sat on the supplier/provider side of an audit or survey and managed the process end to end.
What You'll Do- Own day-to-day compliance tracking: licenses, certifications, documentation, deadlines, and corrective action items
- Serve as the on-site lead for Medicare, state, and accreditation site visits - hosting auditors directly and managing the walkthrough start to finish
- Maintain audit-ready documentation across all Medicare DMEPOS Supplier Standards at all times, not just ahead of a scheduled visit
- Run internal mock audits and pre-visit walkthroughs to close gaps before official reviews
- Partner directly with our accreditation organization (e.g., TCT, ACHC, CHAP, or BOC) on survey prep, renewals, and scope changes
- Track corrective action items from any audit or survey through to documented resolution
Required Experience- Direct Medicare audit experience, on the supplier/provider side - you've personally managed or been the primary point of contact for a company responding to a Medicare audit (DME MAC, CERT, UPIC, RAC, or similar). This means owning documentation, facility readiness, and communication with the contractor - not reviewing patient charts for coding or medical necessity as a clinical/coding auditor.
- Direct experience with a CMS-approved DMEPOS accreditation organization (e.g., TCT, ACHC, CHAP, BOC, NSC), either as a surveyor/auditor or as the person who personally owned a company's accreditation readiness and survey
- DME/DMEPOS industry experience - required, not preferred
- 3+ years of compliance experience in a healthcare setting
- Comfortable operating independently, with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Professional, composed presence when hosting external auditors or regulators, including under pressure or during unannounced visits
LogisticsSchedule: Monday-Friday standard business hours, with hybrid work options
On-site expectations: Located in New York City, NY and able to be in the office at least 4 days per week, and required to be in the office during all site visits
