Full Job Description
THE ROLE

E Ink is seeking an experienced and highly innovative scientist to develop next-generation driving technologies for E Ink's cutting-edge electrophoretic products. In this role, you will invent and optimize novel driving algorithms that improve key product characteristics, including optical performance, switching speed, power consumption, and reliability. You will combine a deep understanding of physics with experimental design, data analysis, and software development to solve complex technical challenges and enable next-generation products.

You will work closely with material scientists, display engineers, electrical engineers, optical engineers, and product teams to transform scientific understanding into practical driving algorithms and production-ready solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the electro-optical and physics governing product behavior and translate that understanding into innovative driving algorithms.

  • Design, execute, and analyze controlled experiments to characterize electro-optical performance and validate new concepts.

  • Develop optical test methods, analytical models, and simulation tools to explain product behavior and predict performance.

  • Design and implement driving algorithms and software to optimize optical performance, switching speed, power consumption, and product reliability.

  • Drive technical investigations of complex product, manufacturing, and customer issues using structured root-cause analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition new driving technologies from research into production.

  • Document technical findings, generate intellectual property, and present results to engineering and management teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education, experience, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
