Senior Director – TV, Audio, and Display Innovation

The Senior Director of TV, Audio, and Display (TVAD) Innovation is responsible for ensuring that Tinuiti works today to develop the TVAD approach of tomorrow. This individual is a leading heretic – their primary goal is to identify all areas in which current TVAD practices are inefficient, insufficient, or ineffective, be the first mover on valuable industry developments, while designing, promoting, and implementing the transformative changes that will enhance our strengths, mitigate our weaknesses, and position Tinuiti’s TVAD solution to be differentiated in the market, win larger business, and drive successful client outcomes 12-to-24 months in the future.

While this individual will cover all elements of TV, Audio, and Display, their primary focuses will be on digital channels, with particular focus on YouTube, as well as Streaming TV, Online Video, Display, and Audio.

Key Responsibilities

• Internal & External Heretic: This individual is one of Tinuiti’s primary internal and external voices for TVAD, including in large internal forums (channel all-hands, The Huddle, the Innovation Power Hour, etc.) as well as externally. This individual will speak at conferences and with the media, where they will represent Tinuiti’s interests and present Tinuiti as a forward-thinking leader in the TVAD space.
• Cross-Functional Listener & Advocate: This individual keeps their ears open and meets actively with all cross-functional teams that affect TVAD – Delivery, Media Investment, Ad Operations, Sales, Product, Engineering, Client Reporting, Insights, and the Executive Team. The individual identifies consistent points of friction and repeated feedback and ideates on structural and technical opportunities to resolve common issues. This individual does not consider just one part of the business, but all facets.
• Hands-On Prototyper: Once this individual identifies opportunities for improvement, they are the first tester and builder. New technologies are prototyped by this individual prior to receiving greater support from other elements of the organization, such as Engineering. This individual does not just identify opportunities for improvement, they take the first steps towards actioning them to prove value.
• Partner Evaluator: This individual is responsible for identifying and evaluating new third-party partners who offer differentiated technology and media solutions that could advance Tinuiti’s TVAD offering. This individual does not abide by an orthodoxy; if an opportunity arises with an external partner that is more valuable than an internal approach – or vice versa – this individual examines and advocates for it.
• Evolutionary Evangelist: This individual is relentlessly focused on identifying the structural and technical changes that will make Tinuiti’s TVAD solution better tomorrow and building the consensus and support internally to make those changes. This individual is responsible for developing a strong point of view on both transformative and iterative change and advocating for it to the Executive Team and the Tinuiti team writ large.

What We’re Looking For:

• Challenger Mentality: A track record of attacking difficult problems, challenging the status quo, and proposing new approaches that drive positive outcomes with minimal transition frictions
• Hands-On Experience: Experience directly managing TVAD campaigns across multiple clients, industries, and contexts; comfort building prototype, proof-of-concept solutions with minimal support; willingness to independently coordinate across new and existing partners for test opportunities
• Executive presence and external-facing communication skill — this person represents Tinuiti's TVAD point of view to press, industry, and top-tier clients
• Deep familiarity with attribution, measurement, and media-buying mechanics; TVAD experience is a strong plus given where the OS build starts, but the role needs to generalize across channels within the first year
• Comfort operating in ambiguity — this is a role being defined in real time, not a fully specified function with an existing playbook

The hiring salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. We also offer an incentive pay program (RevShare) comprising a monthly variable revenue payment opportunity and a discretionary annual performance bonus.

Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
