Our Team, Your ImpactThe Senior Director, Head of Trial Optimization & Feasibility (TOF), is a strategic enterprise leader accountable for defining and governing the sponsor-side feasibility, enrollment forecasting, and protocol optimization model across a global, highly outsourced clinical development organization. This role provides authoritative guidance, sets the strategic direction for feasibility excellence, and ensures all enrollment, country, and site assumptions are evidence-driven, risk-adjusted, and operationally sound before advancing to governance.
As the organization's central decision maker on feasibility integrity, this leader influences functions across R&D - Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Analytics, and Vendor Alliance teams, driving alignment on strategic enrollment strategies and challenging assumptions with confidence and rigor. The Head of TOF builds and leads a high-performing analytics function, elevates modeling sophistication, and embeds standardized frameworks that improve forecast accuracy and strengthen portfolio performance.
Operating as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, this role shapes enterprise standards, anticipates and mitigates operational risk, and ensures feasibility is treated as a strategic differentiator. Through strategic insight, operational leadership, and strong cross-functional influence, the Head of TOF accelerates decision-making, improves predictability, and drives accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the global development portfolio. This role will also own and contribute elements of Sustainability including, but not limited to, DCT, Patient Surveys and Data, Tokenization, DHT, TA level patient burden assessment, Diversity.
How You'll Spend Your DayThe role is accountable for establishing and governing Teva's sponsor-side trial optimization and feasibility capability, including validating CRO assumptions, developing evidence-based enrollment forecasts, shaping country and site strategies, and leading protocol operability reviews to improve study execution. The leader will build internal feasibility analytics, challenge and endorse key enrollment and startup assumptions, incorporate patient burden, diversity, DCT, digital health, and sustainability considerations, and drive continuous improvement by comparing forecasted versus actual performance across studies, countries, therapeutic areas, and CRO partners
Your Skills and Experience12+ years of global clinical development experience, including significant trial optimization and feasibility leadership in innovative portfolios.
Demonstrated experience in global, complex trial environments Proven ability to challenge and validate CRO enrollment assumptions in outsourced models
Bachelor's Degree
Feasibility Governance & Validation Authority1. Define sponsor-side evidence standards required for all CRO feasibility packages and assessments
2. Independently assess enrollment rates, screen failure assumptions, startup timelines, and country allocation logic
3. Lead structured challenge sessions with CRO partners
4. Endorse projections prior to governance or formally escalate unrealistic assumptions to senior leadership
Internal Feasibility Analytics & Forecasting1. Build and lead an internal feasibility analytics capability
2. Develop and maintain enrollment forecasting models incorporating epidemiology, historical performance, protocol burden, site and patient burden and competitive intelligence
3. Oversight of scenario modeling (base case, risk-adjusted, upside/downside)
4. Continuously recalibrate models based on live portfolio performance
Country & Site Strategy Endorsement1. Design and maintain sponsor-side methodology for country and site allocation
2. Validate CRO-recommended site selection strategies
3. Incorporate diversity objectives, competitive landscape analysis, and startup capacity realities
4. Inform and endorse final country/site strategy prior to execution
Protocol Optimization1. Lead structured operability reviews prior to protocol finalization
2. Quantify operational complexity drivers impacting startup and enrollment
3. Facilitate cross-functional trade-off discussions to reduce avoidable downstream risk
Forecast Accountability & Continuous Improvement1. Conduct post-study projected vs. actual reconciliation for enrollment, startup timelines, and key assumptions
2. Quantify variance at study, therapeutic area, country, and CRO levels
3. Identify systemic bias trends and embed lessons learned into updated modeling frameworks
4. Report forecast accuracy performance trends to executive governance

Advanced degree in a scientific, engineering, or supply chain discipline preferred.

Salary RangeThe annual starting salary for this position is between $202,000 - $252,700 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
