Senior Director, Sourcing and Contracts

SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Director-level leader for our Corporate Sourcing and Contracting team. This individual is an integral member of the Business Management and Supply Chain team and will lead a team of Sourcing and Contracts Principals, Specialists and Analysts in performing daily sourcing, procurement and contracting activities supporting Venture Global's Engineering, Information Technology and Corporate functional segments. The Director, Corporate Sourcing and Contracts will partner with the internal business leadership across, engineering, information technology, finance, human resources, business development, regulatory compliance and other corporate functional teams to ensure compliant sourcing, negotiation and execution of purchasing contracts for goods and services necessary for continued business operations.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities- Build a robust sourcing, procurement and contracting plan to support business operations
- Lead the development of sourcing strategies and advising on strategic direction to maximize value in support of business objectives
- Collect and coordinate all purchase and contracting requests and needs from business stakeholders across all corporate functions
- Set expectations and standards for the team to execute competitive bid events to request for quotes or collect proposals, and prepare award recommendations for purchases of goods and services
- Negotiate advanced service terms and conditions, scopes of work, and pricing in agreements to protect the company from risks and liabilities
- Ensure internal reviews and approvals are received from key stakeholders for contract deviations that arise during negotiations
- Issue Purchase Orders, Service Orders and/or execute Purchasing Contracts, in line with the corporate Procurement Policy and Procedures
- Use knowledge of sources and suppliers across the industry to find approved alternative suppliers to fulfill the business needs
- Address supplier shortages, defects and gaps in fulfilment
- Participate in regular business management, budget and strategic planning sessions
- Support the execution of Supplier Performance Management program execution,
- Maintain purchase requests, supplier proposals, purchasing record and contracts, supplier feedback documentation as required per policy
- Conduct employee performance management including goals setting, performance assessment and feedback, coaching, mentoring and training as required
- Perform other duties assigned
QualificationsRequired experience- 10 - 15 years or more in a similar Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement or Supply Chain leadership role involving Engineering, Information Technology, and/or corporate functional areas
- Able to effectively lead a team of 5 to 10 direct reports
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing, contracting, procurement and delivery processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present key details and conclusions
- Proficient with MS OfficeSuite
- Interest in and comfort with being a part of a team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Willing to report in office daily, with occasional nights and weekend work required
- Periodic travel to business locations, headquarters and/or suppliers in various domestic and international locations will be required
Preferred Experience- Experience with SAP and Coupa procurement systems
Required Education- Bachelor's degree in procurement, contracting, supply chain, business or a Juris Doctorate in law
Salary Range$250,000 - $270,000
