Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Product is a senior leader responsible for defining and executing the strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end development of a key pillar within the Orion platform. This role owns customer and business outcomes, transforming validated market and user needs into differentiated, scalable capabilities that reinforce a coherent and integrated Orion experience.

Working closely with a peer senior product leader, engineering, data science, customer-facing teams, and executive leadership, the Senior Director ensures cross-functional alignment and drives continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role, setting vision and priorities for a defined Orion domain and directly leading discovery, prioritization, and execution with Precision eControl and Vorys eControl stakeholders. At this time, candidates who would work in the following states will not be considered for this role: VT, RI, NY, NJ, NH, MI, ME, MA, DE, CO, CT, CA, and AZ.

Essential Functions:
  • Product strategy and domain ownership: Define and evolve the strategy for the assigned Orion domain in alignment with company strategy, Orion's platform vision, market opportunities, and customer needs. Establish the problems to solve, target outcomes, strategic choices, sequencing, and measures of success. Represent the domain strategy, roadmap, KPIs, and outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Customer and Market Discovery: Build deep knowledge of brand, attorney, and internal user workflows through direct customer engagement, platform data, win/loss insight, market research, and continuous discovery. Validate needs and assumptions before committing material development capacity.
  • Roadmap, prioritization, and investment decisions: Own the domain roadmap and make evidence-based prioritization and scope decisions, balancing customer value, revenue and retention potential, delivery effort, risk, dependencies, and long-term platform health. Partner with the peer product leader and cross-functional leadership across Precision eControl and Vorys to ensure decisions reflect a holistic view of customer needs, business priorities, operational considerations, and the broader Orion platform.
  • Product development and outcome delivery: Guide the full product lifecycle for pillar capabilities. Lead cross-functional teams from discovery through delivery, launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration. Develop solutions that are valuable, feasible, usable, viable, and scalable.
  • One-platform alignment: Partner with peer product leader and Engineering to resolve cross-domain dependencies, define shared platform requirements, ensure the platform remains architecturally coherent and that individual product decisions strengthen Orion as an integrated system of record and system of action.
  • Go-to-market and organizational enablement: Work with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Vorys eControl, and other stakeholders to shape positioning, launch readiness, enablement, customer communication, and feedback loops for the assigned domain.
  • Product leadership and talent development: Coach and develop product manager(s), establish clear decision context and accountability, strengthen product craft, and model rigorous, customer-centered, outcome-oriented product leadership across Precision eControl.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Proven ability to define product strategy and translate it into focused outcomes, roadmaps, discovery plans, and investment decisions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in B2B SaaS product leadership, including complex workflows, analytics, data-driven products, and multiple user personas.
  • Strong customer orientation and mastery of continuous discovery, user research, jobs-to-be-done methodology, quantitative product analysis, and agile delivery practices.
  • Excellent product judgment: able to frame ambiguous problems, distinguish needs from requested features, make strategic tradeoffs, and communicate rationale clearly.
  • Technical and data fluency sufficient to partner credibly on platform architecture, integrations, data quality, analytics, AI/ML-enabled capabilities, scalability, and technical debt management.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills; able to align and influence stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Data-driven decision-making, with experience defining and tracking KPIs and translating usage data into actionable roadmap decisions.
  • Commercial acumen, including a strong understanding of acquisition, retention, adoption, service delivery, and operational efficiency drivers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting product strategy and roadmap to executive leadership.
  • Experience managing or mentoring Product Managers; comfort giving direction while remaining hands-on with discovery and delivery.

Desirable But Not Essential:
  • Domain experience in brand protection, MAP/channel enforcement, e-commerce marketplace dynamics, or legal services technology.
  • Experience operating in a company with a closely integrated outside partner (e.g., a law firm, professional services, or managed-service partner).
  • AI-enabled decision support, analytics, recommendations, workflow automation, or natural-language product experiences

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar field.
  • Minimum of 8 years in product management preferred.
