Full Job Description

At Huron, Senior Directors lead with expertise and collaboration, partnering with Huron and client leaders to create sustainable solutions that drive meaningful results. As a member of our Healthcare Digital Transformation (HDTx) team, you will operate across two high-priority mandates: leading IT integration on complex M&A transactions and delivering digital transformation advisory and implementation engagements for healthcare provider clients alongside those transactions.

In the M&A context, this leader owns end-to-end IT integration delivery, from due diligence and Day 1 readiness through post-close integration, TSA exit, and value realization. In the digital context, you will serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and senior IT leaders, guiding them through complex clinical, operational, and financial transformation initiatives powered by EHR, ERP, AI, automation, and advanced analytics.

You will foster a supportive, inclusive environment, empower teams, and create a workplace where diverse perspectives are valued. If you are passionate about driving impactful solutions at the intersection of M&A and digital transformation and believe in the power of collaboration, Huron offers a rewarding path forward.

Huron is seeking a Director / Senior Director to lead and scale its IT M&A Integration capability across healthcare and related regulated industries. This role is designed for a senior IT integration leader who combines deep transaction experience with strong execution discipline, executive‑level presence, and the ability to build durable, repeatable delivery models.

The Director / Senior Director will serve as a hands‑on leader responsible for end‑to‑end IT integration execution across complex mergers, acquisitions, carveouts, and integrations. This individual will operate at the intersection of deal strategy and delivery, partnering closely with deal executives, client CIOs/CTOs, and Huron practice leaders, while maintaining direct accountability for outcomes, quality, and value realization.

Key Responsibilities

IT M&A Integration Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end IT integration across mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and separations, from IT due diligence and Day 1 readiness through post-close integration, TSA exit, and value realization

  • Serve as the primary IT integration lead on complex, high-stakes transactions, balancing speed, risk, and disciplined execution under compressed timelines

  • Lead IT due diligence in coordination with functional workstreams, translating findings into actionable integration scope, cost, risk, and timing implications

  • Lead IT carve-outs and separations across applications, infrastructure, data, security, and access management

  • Own IT TSA strategy, execution, and exit planning

  • Provide CIO/CTO-level advisory support while remaining actively engaged in execution details and delivery decisions

Digital Transformation Advisory & Implementation

When deployed on digital (non-M&A) engagements, lead client work across the following areas:

  • Advise clients on IT strategy, operating model design, and digital roadmaps that leverage emerging technologies, including AI, automation, telehealth, and advanced analytics

  • Drive the strategy and implementation of IT Advisory engagements across EHR and ERP modernization for healthcare provider clients

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of provider operations, including clinical and administrative workflows, to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for technology-enabled improvement

  • Develop compelling business cases that quantify transformation benefits: cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and improved clinical outcomes

  • Design and execute change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and workflows by clinical and non-clinical staff

  • Navigate complex organizational structures and foster cross-functional collaboration to align technology initiatives with strategic business goals

Methodology, Governance & Quality Ownership

  • Establish, refine, and own Huron's IT M&A integration methodology, playbooks, templates, and delivery standards

  • Design and enforce integration governance models, decision frameworks, and escalation paths

  • Apply equivalent delivery rigor to digital transformation engagements, structured frameworks, stakeholder governance, and risk management

  • Manage project teams providing guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance to deliver high-quality work products on time and within budget

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing delivery teams across M&A and digital engagements

  • Coach senior consultants and managers into strong, independent leaders capable of operating across integration and transformation contexts

  • Define role archetypes, skill requirements, staffing models, and delivery structures to enable scale across both M&A and digital work

  • Build succession depth and leadership capacity across the IT integration and digital capabilities

  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive team environment where diverse perspectives are valued

Commercial & Client Leadership

  • Build lasting relationships and cultivate trust with client CIOs, CTOs, VPs of IT, and C-level executives, serving as a peer and trusted advisor

  • Influence executive decision-making and confidently challenge clients when needed to protect outcomes and advance long-term value

  • Deep understanding of healthcare provider operations: acute care, ambulatory settings, patient access, and clinical workflows

  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-workstream IT programs under compressed timelines

  • Strong critical thinking skills for data analysis with the ability to make actionable recommendations

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive-level client management skills

  • Willingness to travel as needed (typically Monday–Thursday)
