Full Job Description
Summary of Position:

Reporting to the VP, Market Access, the Senior Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), is responsible for leading the development and execution of high-quality HEOR strategic activities to support optimal reimbursement and market access. The role focuses on delivering robust evidence that demonstrates the value of the products, engaging with key external stakeholders and customers, and partnering cross-functionally to successfully impact business objectives. The Senior Director will provide strategic leadership for evidence generation and value demonstration initiatives while serving as a trusted partner across the organization.

Responsibilities:
    • Provide strategic leadership and HEOR expertise across the organization to inform market access, pricing, reimbursement, and evidence-generation strategies
    • Monitor the evolving HEOR, payer, and reimbursement landscape to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact IST's products
    • Design and execute HEOR strategies that demonstrate product value to U.S. hospital systems and payer formulary decision-makers, supporting commercialization, including reimbursement and pricing
    • Partner with Market Access and Commercial Leads to identify HEOR evidence needs across the product lifecycle, business development planning, and product commercialization
    • Collaborate with contract strategy and analytics to develop innovative value-based contracting approaches for use with reimbursement decision-makers (pharmacy, medical, and quality groups)
    • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including hospital quality and outcomes groups
    • Lead economic model development (cost calculators, budget impact models) and customer presentations to formulary decision-makers in collaboration with key account teams
    • Lead various database analyses such as patient registry data, epidemiologic research, retrospective claims, and contribute to observational studies.
    • Partner with Medical Affairs to provide evidence generation needs and reimbursement requirements for clinical projects
    • Lead health economics publication and communication strategies, including presentations at external conferences
    • Assist Marketing and Market Access in the development of training materials and modules related to health economic messages
    • Where appropriate, undertake in-house economic studies and related activities such as literature reviews and modeling.

Experience & Education:
    • Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.P.H., M.S or M.D.) in Public Health, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Medicine, Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacy or related a scientific field
    • 10 plus years of experience in health economics and/or outcomes research within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
    • Experience with hospital antibiotic and critical care product is preferred
    • Experience interacting with hospitals and/or payer decision makers, with a strong understanding of the US reimbursement environment, including the submission of health economics, pricing dossiers and/or reimbursement dossiers
