What You'll Do

Lead Membership Growth & Engagement
  • Develop and execute strategies that drive membership acquisition, retention, reinstatement, and engagement.
  • Establish measurable growth goals and performance metrics across TMA's global network.
  • Analyze membership trends, engagement data, and retention metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Enhance the member experience through innovative onboarding, engagement, and member journey initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing & Communications to support member recruitment and retention campaigns.
  • Collaborate across departments to strengthen and communicate TMA's programs and operations.

Strengthen Chapters and Volunteer Leadership
  • Serve as the primary liaison to chapter executives and volunteer leaders.
  • Support chapter growth, operations, governance, reporting, and member engagement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and best practices to chapter leadership teams.
  • Conduct chapter performance reviews and use data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop leadership training and onboarding resources for chapter and committee volunteers.
  • Foster collaboration, communication, and idea sharing across the chapter network.

Expand TMA's Global Community
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international chapters, chapter leaders and affiliate partners.
  • Support strategic initiatives that strengthen TMA's global presence and growth.
  • Partner with the CEO and volunteer leaders on international engagement and expansion opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-border collaboration, education, sponsorship, and membership growth.
  • Coordinate governance, reporting, and compliance activities related to international affiliates.

Drive Operational Excellence
  • Oversee membership operations, SOPs, reporting, systems optimization, and data integrity.
  • Improve dashboards, KPI reporting, and membership analytics.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent execution of membership, event set up, registration, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with internal teams to maximize the effectiveness of TMA's AMS (Association Management System) and member technologies.

Serve as a Senior Organizational Leader
  • Contribute to organizational planning, budgeting, forecasting, and goal setting.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on membership operations, chapter relations, and community engagement.
  • Represent TMA professionally with members, sponsors, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in membership, association management, chapter relations, business development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success driving membership growth, retention, and engagement.
  • Experience working with volunteer-led organizations and governance structures strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and achieving financial and operational goals.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with AMS/CRM platforms and data-driven decision-making.
  • International association or global membership experience preferred.
