ABOUT THE ROLEPagerDuty is seeking a
Sr. Director, Field Enablement to join our diverse, customer-focused team! As Sr. Director of Field Enablement, you will lead a team of enablement professionals supporting our sales, customer success, and partnership organizations.
You will build and scale our global enablement function to ensure our customer-facing teams are equipped to sell and support our diversifying product portfolio as we enter our next phase of growth. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the enablement strategy for a high-growth SaaS company and directly improve teams' capabilities and productivity worldwide. The ideal candidate is a strategic, seasoned enablement leader passionate about gathering customer feedback and competitive intelligence to develop programs that drive sales excellence and business results.
ABOUT PAGERDUTYKEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, execute, optimize, and assess enablement programs in partnership with sales and customer success leadership, determining priorities and success metrics with key stakeholders
- Gather and share insights from customers, competitors, and the market to enable the positioning of PagerDuty's value proposition to the market
- Drive the creation of learning programs and events that align with overall sales and company strategy, enhancing team capabilities, productivity, and high-level selling skills
- Build and maintain an enablement delivery platform that provides scalable, measurable content and learning resources to sales, customer success, and partnership teams
- Collaborate with marketing and product marketing to develop highly effective and repeatable sales messaging, selling tools, and collateral that enable consistent execution
- Design and maintain an end-to-end sales onboarding program in collaboration with HR that certifies new hires on company strategy, product messaging, and sales processes
- Develop and lead the everboarding process for the sales team to ensure the continued development of required behaviors and skills to successfully operate a consumption driven business
- Build out and scale enablement support functions for Customer Success and Partnerships organizations
- Communicate the enablement strategy, roadmap, and KPIs to stakeholders across all global organizations
- Develop and maintain a library of sales enablement resources, including sales playbooks, battle cards, product collateral, content library, and competitive intelligence
- Drive adoption and utilization of sales enablement tools such as MindTickle and Highspot
- Partner with the sales systems team to drive adoption and utilization of sales tools such as Clari, Salesloft, Salesforce, and others
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of sales processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Set key metrics to assess the impact of sales enablement efforts on sales performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in sales enablement
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of sales enablement experience or a combination of sales / post sales, sales training, and enablement roles
- 5+ years of management experience leading and developing enablement teams
- Proven track record of building and delivering innovative, strategic sales enablement programs, including training, onboarding, certifications, and sales events
- Experience implementing and maintaining content management platforms such as Highspot or Seismic
- 3+ years of experience in high-velocity, high-growth startup environments, preferably in the SaaS space, or equivalent degree or experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Strong understanding of sales methodologies such as Force Management, MEDDIC and forecasting best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence sales professionals at all levels
- Experience with Sales Operations and Salesforce.com
- Proficiency in using sales enablement tools, CRM systems, and content management platforms. Preferred platforms include Salesforce, Seismic, CRM Analytics, and more
- Analytical mindset with the ability to provide actionable insights
- Knowledge of Sales Manager training and sales coaching, particularly for Enterprise sales
- Strong program and project management skills with the ability to maintain calendars of ongoing training, business reviews, and field communications
- Detail and results-oriented with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for driving sales excellence
- Excel in creating and curating sales collateral, playbooks, training modules, and other resources to support the sales team
- Have a track record of driving sales enablement initiatives across different regions and markets, understanding cultural nuances and local sales practices
The base salary range for this position is 180,000 - 303,600 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
