The Senior Developer will manage and execute strategic Engineering initiatives that drive scalability, security, efficiency, and integrity of the Five Four technology stack. You will be measured on your ability to work with team members across all departments to contribute solutions that increase customer acquisition and retention. You must be an innovative problem solver and analytical thinker who sets goals and achieves them with grace. Strong management and communication skills are a must. Expect to spend a majority of your time planning, managing, and coding as this is a hands-on leadership position.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and improve entire stack (FrontEnd, BackEnd, APIs, Integrations)
- Develop MicroApps and integrate with third party APIs
- Project manage and maintain projected timelines of deliverables
- Deliver properly-tested, organized, bug-free code, on-time
- Help manage and train less seasoned teammates
- Work with vendors and technology partners to integrate API's and deliver innovative solutions images and be able to re-size to fit required dimensions
Qualifications:- 5+ years hands-on experience with the LAMP stack (PHP, MYSQL) building platforms and integrating with API's
- 3+ years experience with Cloud Hosting (AWS, S3, RDS, EC2, Heroku), GIT (GitHub), DNS Management (AWS, GoDaddy) , CDN Implementation (Akamai, CloudFlare, InstartLogic)
- 5+ years hands-on experience HTML/CSS/Javascript
- 2+ years payment processing experience (Stripe)
- 3+ years working with logging systems (ElasticSearch, Kibana, FluentD)
- Experience documenting API's a plus
- Experience with Shopify and Wordpress a plus
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree from a 4-year university
- Self-directed, proactive, and able to define and execute projects independently
- Highly organized and detail oriented strong analytical and quantitative skills required
- Proficient in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), both in articulating his/her ideas and gathering input from key stakeholders
- Comfortable creating presentations and presenting to senior management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment
- Must possess a "get the job done" attitude
