In this Senior drafting support role, you'll contribute to the development of infrastructure that supports growing communities while building your technical skills alongside experienced engineers and designers.
Your Impact- Support the preparation of civil engineering drawings for municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, and utilities
- Assist in developing AutoCAD and Civil 3D models and drawings based on engineering direction
- Contribute to the accuracy and quality of design deliverables through careful drafting and revisions
- Update drawing packages and maintain organized project documentation throughout the design process
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to incorporate feedback and refine designs
- Support quantity take-offs and basic design tasks to aid project delivery
- Learn and apply municipal standards, regulations, and best practices in design work
- Contribute to a team culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
The Skills That Set You Apart- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in drafting preferably in structural infrastructure
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Familiarity with basic civil design concepts such as grading, servicing, and roadworks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality drawings
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop technical skills in a supportive team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Exposure to BC municipal standards or consulting environments is considered an asset
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $44.36 - $60.99 per hour
MB & ON: $42.07 - $57.41 per hour
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $40.17 - $55.23 per hour
