Summary:

In this role, you will develop automated analytics products and conduct sophisticated data analysis to address complex business and client questions. You will design, implement, and deploy advanced data science solutions across multiple projects and domains, translating analytical findings into actionable insights that improve clinical, operational, and economic outcomes. You will apply predictive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI approaches, provide technical guidance to other data scientists, and deliver high-quality, scalable analytic solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing, statistical modeling, and unsupervised learning approaches across structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and deploy scalable, automated data science products and reusable analytic assets across multiple projects and domains.
  • Analyze large-scale, high-dimensional datasets using modern programming tools and distributed computing platforms to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Apply expertise across end-to-end data science workflows, including data discovery, structuring, cleaning, enrichment, feature engineering, modeling, validation, deployment, and insight delivery.
  • Make autonomous analytical and modeling decisions based on project goals, including approach selection, exploratory analysis, model development, and visualization.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights, dashboards, reports, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and review technical code, apply data science and software development best practices, and provide guidance to other data scientists.
  • Partner with engineering and platform teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain machine learning, generative AI, and other advanced analytics solutions.
  • Apply responsible AI and model governance practices, including documentation, explainability, bias assessment, testing, and validation.
  • Evaluate emerging analytical and AI technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into products, workflows, and business processes.


Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with agentic AI concepts and environments, including LLM-based workflows, tool orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, autonomous workflows, or human-in-the-loop patterns.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and advanced data science methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming and analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, MATLAB, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with end-to-end data science workflows, including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and visualization.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and integrating data from disparate sources.
  • Experience with cloud-based and distributed data platforms and analytics frameworks such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Tableau, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning, generative AI, or advanced analytics solutions in production environments.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, model governance, explainability, bias assessment, and validation practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical clients.


Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
