Job Summary
The Senior Data Scientist will join an AI execution team focused on developing in-house AI-powered applications. The role will leverage Python and Generative AI technologies to build, test, validate, and enhance AI solutions that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strong Python development skills with hands-on LLM experience and the ability to independently execute complex AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement AI-powered applications using Python and LLM technologies.
• Design, test, and refine prompts for Generative AI applications.
• Validate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and reliability.
• Build quality controls and guardrails to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate and deploy AI solutions.
• Independently execute complex AI initiatives and evaluate different solution approaches.
• Provide thoughtful recommendations and challenge assumptions when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
• 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing end-to-end AI solutions.
• Experience with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases.
• Financial Services or Mortgage domain knowledge.
• Background in Applied AI Engineering.
• Experience with Bitbucket and version control.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Candidates with less education should demonstrate exceptional relevant experience.
