The RoleAs a Senior Data Scientist on Linktree's Core Product Analytics team, you'll be at the centre of how we understand our product and decide what to build next. With 70+ million people using Linktree to connect with their audiences, and billions of visitors clicking through each year, you'll turn that activity into clear answers on what's working, what isn't, and where we should invest.
You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design and Marketing to define the metrics that matter, design and read the experiments behind our biggest launches, and dig into the growth, retention and monetisation questions that shape our roadmap. You'll design smart, scrappy tests that give us directional signal fast, and run more formal hypothesis tests when the stakes are high, always working in lean build-measure-learn cycles.
As we bring core data analysis together under one team, you'll help set the standards for how Linktree measures, tests and reports. You'll stay hands-on across our modern data stack, building the datasets and models you need rather than waiting for someone else to. Most of all, your work will help Linktree achieve our mission: to empower anyone to curate and grow their digital universe.
What You'll Own- Define, own and evolve Linktree's core product metrics and the metric trees behind them, from acquisition and activation through engagement, retention and monetisation
- Design, run and evaluate A/B tests and quasi-experiments across the core product, and turn the results into clear ship, iterate or kill recommendations
- Lead deep-dive analyses on growth, retention and revenue questions, proactively surfacing opportunities and risks that aren't yet on the roadmap
- Build and own trusted datasets, dbt models and dashboards that give squads reliable, self-serve visibility into product performance
- Partner with PMs and engineering leads on roadmap prioritisation, opportunity sizing and success criteria for new launches
- Set and champion standards for experimentation, metric definitions and analytical rigour across the company, and mentor others in using them
- Communicate insights to product leadership and the executive team in clear, decision-ready narratives
Who We're Looking For- 4-5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Product Analyst in a high-growth, product-led technology company
- Hands-on experience running a wide range of experiments, from quick-and-scrappy tests to formal hypothesis tests, with a strong grounding in statistics, power analysis and causal inference
- Advanced SQL and fluency in Python (or R) for analysis and modelling; comfortable building your own pipelines and datasets
- Experience with modern data stacks (e.g. dbt, Dagster/Airflow, Snowflake/BigQuery) and BI tools such as Hex or Looker
- A track record of defining product metrics and using data to change product decisions, with impact you can point to
- Comfortable in ambiguity: you scope your own problems and can hold a clear point of view with senior stakeholders, and you change your mind when the data says so
- Excellent communicator who can turn complex findings into clear recommendations for any audience
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or a related field (MS/PhD a plus)
