Summary
The Senior Data & Process Automation Analyst supports the Leasing & Fleet Management–Business Services team by maintaining data accuracy, improving processes, and modernizing legacy Excel- and Access-based workflows through Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This position operates within Business Services rather than IT and follows the governance and support requirements of the IT-supported citizen developer program. The analyst develops working knowledge of Business Services functions, owns designated operational processes, automates workflows, strengthens process controls, maintains documentation, and supports the reliable execution of critical operational activities.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead complex data, automation, and process improvement initiatives that support Business Services strategic and operational objectives.
- Analyze complex business, process, and data challenges; develop and implement sustainable solutions that improve performance, scalability, and customer outcomes.
- Design, develop, and optimize business solutions, including workflow automation, reporting platforms, applications, and analytical tools.
- Lead the modernization of legacy systems, databases, spreadsheets, and manual processes through the implementation of scalable technology solutions.
- Architect and implement Power Platform solutions utilizing Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and related technologies.
- Evaluate business requirements, risks, costs, and operational impacts to recommend and implement effective solutions.
- Lead complex reporting, reconciliation, data governance, and analytical activities requiring significant independent judgment.
- Identify systemic process, data, and technology issues; drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain standards, methodologies, procedures, and governance practices that improve compliance, consistency, and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on business processes, data management, reporting, automation, and supporting technologies.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business needs, influence priorities, and deliver solutions that improve productivity, data quality, and business outcomes.
- Lead or coordinate projects and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, systems, and functional areas.
- Anticipate risks and operational impacts; develop mitigation strategies and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and promote best practices across the organization.
- Drive innovation through analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least five years of experience in data analysis, automation, or process improvement using a modern technology stack
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to Access/VBA-based processes and interest in modernizing them
- Experience working with SSMS
- Uses Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
- Uses advanced Microsoft Excel functionality
- Works with Access- and VBA-based processes and supports their modernization
- Works with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Understands and supports operational business processes
- Manages time effectively and prioritizes multiple deliverables
- Communicates clearly and professionally with business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting business operations or back-office functions
- Ability to work on-site at our Lake Oswego, Oregon office; remote work from other locations may be considered based on business needs.
