Job Summary
The Senior Data Engineer will support the evolution of an enterprise customer profile platform (Unified Customer Profile - UCP) and its integration with a broad ecosystem of applications. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions, database platforms, and integration capabilities that support critical business processes and data assets. The engineer will leverage cloud-native technologies, modern data engineering practices, and AWS and Snowflake capabilities to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that improve data accessibility, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions, database platforms, and integration capabilities supporting the Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform.
• Develop and maintain data integration solutions to connect the customer profile platform with enterprise applications.
• Work with Oracle RDBMS, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and query and performance optimization.
• Design, develop, and support ETL and data integration solutions.
• Implement and support messaging and event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, SNS, and SQS.
• Develop data engineering solutions using Java and/or Python, with a preference for Java.
• Develop and support data solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• Support Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems and high-volume transactional workloads.
• Troubleshoot production applications and data platforms and resolve incidents.
• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
• Develop API-based integrations and support distributed systems.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and query and performance optimization.
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL and data integration solutions.
• 2+ years of experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, SNS, SQS, or similar platforms.
• 2+ years of programming experience using Java and/or Python, with Java strongly preferred.
• 1+ year of experience developing or supporting solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• 2+ years of experience supporting Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems and high-volume transactional workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting production applications and data platforms, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Experience building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.
• Experience with API-based integrations and distributed systems.
• Experience developing scalable, high-performance data solutions.
• Understanding of enterprise data architecture and integration patterns.
