Senior Data Consultant (US)

About the Job

Do you think like a management consultant, thrive in a high-growth environment, and can't stop thinking about the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy? Are you the person clients turn to when the problem is complex, the stakes are high, and the path forward isn't obvious yet?

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Consultant, you'll be a driving force in our US practice - leading high-impact client engagements, shaping analytical strategy, and setting the standard for delivery excellence on our founding team. You won't just surface insights; you'll own the client relationship, structure the narrative, and be directly accountable for outcomes that move the needle for major global brands.

This is a high-visibility role with real scope from day one. You'll partner with senior client stakeholders, bring clarity to ambiguous problems, and translate sophisticated data work into decisions that executives act on. You'll also help shape what Artefact looks like in the US - contributing to proposals, developing thought leadership, and actively building our market presence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining client needs through in-depth discovery - conducting structured interviews with client teams and technology partners to surface the real problem beneath the stated one
• Performing advanced data analysis and rigorous research to solve high-impact, strategic challenges that matter to our clients' bottom lines
• Building, formulating, and presenting data-driven strategic recommendations that are compelling, actionable, and boardroom-ready
• Developing new business proposals that win - translating Artefact's capabilities into clear, persuasive value propositions for prospective clients
• Contributing to thought leadership and content development on business-relevant topics, including Artefact-published research, articles, and business cases
• Taking full ownership of project delivery - ensuring workstreams are aligned, on schedule, and meeting client expectations, with support from a Manager or Director
• Mentoring and developing junior consultants and interns, actively investing in the talent pipeline that will define our US team

What We Are Looking For

We're looking for proven leaders and sharp thinkers who are ready to make their mark - people who bring a point of view, thrive in ambiguity, and hold themselves accountable to outcomes, not just outputs. As a senior member of our founding US team, you'll help define what excellence looks like at Artefact in North America. We'll give you the platform and the tools to do your best work - and you'll arrive ready with the following:

• Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance; advanced degree (MBA or MSc in a quantitative field) is a significant asset
• 3-5 years of full-time experience in one or more of the following: consulting, data/analytics, marketing, advertising, finance, or tech - with a clear track record of client-facing delivery and independent problem-solving
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you can represent Artefact with confidence and credibility at the senior client level
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across diverse, multicultural teams; strong intercultural communication skills are essential in our global environment
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, Python, or R is a strong differentiator
• Genuine passion for data, digital, and the broader tech and AI economy - you follow this space because you love it, not because you have to
• A natural teaching orientation and demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members; you make the people around you better
• Deep knowledge of strategy consulting and/or digital marketing - within a consultancy, start-up, or agency - is highly desirable

Why You Should Join Us

At this stage in your career, you have options. Here's what makes Artefact different:

Real ownership, right away. We're building our US practice from the ground up, which means your contributions don't disappear into a bureaucracy - they shape the trajectory of an entire market.

Work that's actually at the frontier. Our clients aren't asking yesterday's questions. You'll be tackling problems where AI and advanced analytics are actively reshaping industries - and you'll be expected to lead that conversation.

A global network that makes you better. With 36 offices worldwide, you'll tap into methodologies, expertise, and colleagues across every major market. Our scale gives you resources; our culture gives you autonomy.

We are united by our values and strengthened by our hybrid expertise:

• There is always a way - We're builders, diggers, and makers. Ideas only count if they get executed.
• Client trust is won in the field - We show up where it matters, working side by side with our clients to solve what's real.
• If not used, it is useless - We build for adoption and impact. True brilliance is measured by what changes, not what's delivered.
• If not shared, our work is not done - Sharing knowledge is how we close the loop - for our clients and for each other.
• We learn every day - In a field moving at the speed of light, intellectual curiosity isn't optional. It's survival.
