Our Client is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design, planning, and support of complex database systems that drive critical government operations. Responsibilities: - Define and maintain enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for diverse data domains including regulatory, environmental, and geospatial data.
- Develop integration patterns suited for batch, real-time, and event-driven data workflows.
- Architect lakehouse structures using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Lead data pipelines and interface design, collaborating closely with data engineers and developers.
- Embed data governance, security, and quality practices, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on data architecture, providing mentorship and documentation of decision-making processes.
Qualifications: - College or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years in data architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Proven experience designing enterprise database solutions at a similar scale.
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Strong background in data modeling, integration patterns, and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: TOGAF certification, geospatial data knowledge, experience with public sector or large corporate systems.
