Senior Data Analyst - Snowflake & Healthcare Data

Description:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in Snowflake, advanced SQL, healthcare data, data architecture, and data quality to support enterprise-scale data initiatives.

In this role, you will help design and prepare trusted, high-quality data assets for advanced analytics and AI use cases, working across complex healthcare data domains. The ideal candidate combines strong technical capabilities with analytical thinking, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, design, and support enterprise data solutions using Snowflake and advanced SQL.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, dynamic SQL, joins, and subqueries.
  • Design and optimize Snowflake solutions using Dynamic Tables, Materialized Views, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and data quality analysis.
  • Support enterprise data architecture and data warehouse initiatives, including dimensional modeling and Star/Snowflake schemas.
  • Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings, data lineage, metadata, and integration patterns.
  • Prepare and standardize data assets for AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Analyze and validate healthcare data across claims, membership, provider, and health plan domains.
  • Develop test plans and execute source-to-target validation, reconciliation, and data quality testing.
  • Monitor data quality and contribute to scorecards, automated testing frameworks, defect tracking, and resolution.
  • Support data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, and MDM initiatives.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to identify and resolve data issues.
  • Communicate analytical findings and data insights effectively through data storytelling and clear business recommendations.
  • Ensure data solutions follow applicable security, governance, and healthcare data requirements, including HIPAA awareness.


Your Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience working with databases.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • Expert-level SQL development skills, including complex queries, dynamic SQL, stored procedures, reconciliation, and data profiling.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake Dynamic Tables, Materialized Views, RBAC, data governance, and security.
  • Experience with enterprise data architecture and data warehouse design.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, source-to-target mapping, data lineage, metadata management, and MDM concepts.
  • Experience preparing and standardizing data for AI and advanced analytics.
  • Strong experience working with healthcare data, including:
  • Claims: Professional, institutional, medical, pharmacy, encounter, and adjudication data.
  • Membership: Enrollment, eligibility, coverage history, benefits, population health, and member attribution.
  • Provider: Directories, contracting, networks, NPI, attribution, and provider hierarchies.
  • Health Plans: Benefits, products, groups, employers, consumer and commercial products, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA Marketplace.
  • Experience with data quality and testing, including completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness.
  • Experience developing test plans, reconciliation testing, source-to-target validation, automated testing, data quality monitoring, and scorecards.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data catalogs, metadata management, and HIPAA.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable business insights.
