Who are you?
You are a seasoned Senior Cost Estimator specializing in Civil infrastructure and transit projects estimating with a minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a comparable role in a similar environment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a high-performing team. In this impactful role, you will be providing advice, leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.

As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will be involved in:
  • Prepare construction cost estimates (Class 5 to Class 1) for infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, tunnels, LRT, transit, utilities, and municipal civil works.
  • Producing, presenting and defending construction cost plans and cost estimates for key infrastructure clients developing complex engineering projects from feasibility/concept design up to detailed design (pre-tender estimates).
  • Actively interfacing with project clients, key stakeholders, contractors, and consultants (engineering, etc.) providing cost advice during all project stages.
  • Review, validation of cost submissions from General Contractor(s) within a Progressive Design Build contractual environment as part of Target Cost/Price Development.
  • Providing cost reconciliation cost estimates including associated justification to be presented to project clients and key stakeholders.
  • Engaging in value engineering workshops to identify the cost savings and optimum solutions available for the client.
  • Producing cost benchmarks for validation and target-setting on major infrastructure projects.


Qualifications
  • Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management Degree and/or Certification or equivalent.
  • 8 - 15 years' experience in cost estimating positions across pre-contract/post-contract phases of infrastructure projects.
  • Membership of professional organisations is a bonus (e.g., CIQS / RICS / AACE).
  • Strong understanding of rail systems estimating methodologies, procurement and installation approaches, and key testing, commissioning, integration and handover cost drivers.
  • Strong team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support client-facing interactions.
  • Experience with BIM-based quantification or digital takeoff tools is an advantage.
  • Experience in a consultancy, owner's representative, or contractor environment.
