The Role Abridge's in-house legal team is a group of lawyers and legal professionals operating across multiple disciplines. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a practical, versatile product lawyer to join our growing legal team. The right person can identify the legal issue quickly, learn the product deeply, and give the business a practical path forward.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to product and engineering teams, embedding legal and compliance frameworks into our product lifecycle. You will own matters independently and help turn recurring questions into clear guidance and durable systems that support innovation while ensuring compliance with healthcare, privacy, and other regulatory requirements. What You'll Do
Serve as a primary legal partner for our products and features from early design through launch and post-launch review.
Partner with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, policy, partner experience, marketing, IT, finance, corporate development, and commercial to ensure alignment and mitigate risk.
Review product launches, feature changes, user-facing disclosures, and marketing claims
Develop and scale practical legal processes, frameworks, and templates that enable teams to move quickly with appropriate guardrails
Provide actionable legal guidance on regulatory, privacy, and compliance matters, including the evolving AI/ML landscape.
Flex across the broader Product, Privacy and Regulatory Legal portfolio as company priorities and risk change.
Coordinate with external counsel to resolve specialist issues and ensure fast delivery of actionable legal guidance and risk analysis.
Monitor emerging laws and regulations affecting Abridge's products and data practices and advise internal stakeholders on their implications.
