POSITION DESCRIPTIONThis position is located on-site in Hamilton, WA, or Layton, UT. The Senior Contracts Administrator is responsible for serving as Janicki's subject-matter expert for complex, high-risk, or strategic contracts. Leads critical negotiations, advises leadership on advanced risk exposure, and interprets new or complex regulatory requirements and their impact on Janicki's contractual landscape. Mentors Level I-III Contracts Administrators and contributes to companywide contracting policy, standards, and strategic process improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Serves as subject-matter expert on complex, high-risk, strategic, or enterprise-level agreements; leads high-impact negotiations including major terms, modifications, and REAs.
- Advises leadership on high-risk exposure; interprets new or complex regulatory requirements and assesses their impact on Janicki's contracts and business objectives.
- Recommends risk-assessment standards, escalation thresholds, and enterprise contract governance practices.
- Represents Janicki in strategic and executive-level customer interactions; presents significant contractual matters to senior and executive leadership.
- Serves as the primary contractual interface for critical programs and key customers; resolves disputes, conflicting requirements, and major compliance issues.
- Leads development of portfolio-level contract performance reporting; ensures audit readiness and informs leadership with analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Evaluates complex, novel, or emerging risk areas across multiple contracts; develops and implements mitigation strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Reviews, negotiates, and executes high-value contracts, agreements, terms & conditions, and customer requirements within expanded delegated authority.
- Ensures alignment between customer requirements and Janicki's proposals; provides oversight for proposal compliance and strategic positioning.
- Tracks assigned portfolio for compliance with scope, schedule, and payment terms; anticipates performance issues and drives corrective action with program teams.
- Leads development and maintenance of contract language standards, templates, and enterprise contracting processes; contributes to contracting policy and best practices.
- Reviews and redlines contractual documents, coordinating approvals with senior management and Legal for significant deviations or nonstandard terms.
- Prepares advanced written communications, management summaries, and executive-level presentations.
- Ensures timely submission of contractual deliverables, invoices, reports, and other obligations across assigned portfolio.
- Maintains expert-level understanding of Janicki business systems, procedures, and workflows.
- Mentors and provides guidance to Level I-III Contracts Administrators; supports training and skill development.

QUALIFICATIONS- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience is required
- 4+ years of experience in contracts administration, proposal/compliance, or business management within a manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace environment
- Knowledge of multiple contract types including Firmed Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee or Cost-Plus Award Fee
- Experience with FAR/DFARS requirements
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Exposure to quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) as they relate to document control and records
- Experience redlining and coordinating approvals with Management
- Prior ownership of proposal compliance checklists and submission portals
- Experience building dashboards/trackers in Excel, Power BI, or other tracking tools for deadlines and deliverables
- Advanced proficiency in software programs, including Microsoft Office, SAP, SQL reporting, and other relevant business tools
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with experience presenting to executives, managing customer relations, and negotiating contracts
Detailed Wage Information Wage range for this role is between
$96K - $133K, plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
