Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide senior-level construction and program management oversight across multiple projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide oversight and direction to Owner's Authorized Representatives (OARs) and project teams
  • Monitor overall project progress, construction schedules, costs, and performance
  • Resolve complex construction issues, disputes, and project-related challenges
  • Review change orders and evaluate their cost and schedule impacts
  • Support bid, contract, and construction planning
  • Oversee cost controls, payment applications, and fiscal management across multiple projects
  • Provide direction related to scheduling, cost control, contract administration, dispute resolution, and quality control
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, LAUSD departments, and other project stakeholders
  • Monitor administration of architectural and consultant contracts

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following experience paths:

Option 1
  • 20 years of full-time professional project/construction management experience
  • At least 10 of those years managing large programs involving individual projects with construction values greater than $50 million
  • At least 5 years of experience with educational facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management

A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may substitute for the education requirement.

OR

Option 2
  • 25 years of full-time professional project/construction management experience
  • At least 20 of those years managing large programs involving individual projects with construction values greater than $50 million
  • At least 5 years of experience with educational facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects

For candidates qualifying under Option 2, a degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management and a CCM credential are preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience
  • Design-Build project delivery
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • LEED-certified and/or CHPS projects
  • Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
  • California Architect registration or Professional Engineer (PE) license
