We are looking for a Senior CEI Construction Inspector to add to our highway team and work alongside our technical experts to provide contributions to the development of new techniques and standards. Help our team grow by mentoring the early professionals while assisting resident engineers and project administrators in completion of inspection work in accordance with projects and client specifications.

What you will do:
  • Monitoring on-site construction activities.
  • Inspecting materials in accordance with the client's scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions). Transporting samples to be tested in a Department laboratory or appropriate facility.
  • Maintaining detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant events. Fulfilling other duties as needed.
  • Preparing daily inspection reports.
  • Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client's requirements).
  • Performs inspection of the contractor's quality control procedures.
  • Performs material testing and verifies that procedures are in conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures.
  • Reviews material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract and measures quantities of materials placed.
  • May be required to perform sampling and/or in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement.

What you will bring:
  • At least 10+ years in CEI experience in roadway or bridge projects.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid State's driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
  • CTQP Certifications.
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I.
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I.
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges).
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I.
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II.
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I.
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II.
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection.
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection.

Required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structure foundations.
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT.
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I.
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety.
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors.
