Job SummaryThe Senior - Compliance Testing Specialist develops test plans, coordinates, and conducts regulatory compliance tests to assess risk, internal controls, evaluate internal business processes as they relate to compliance activities, and analyze operating procedures. They provide a solution-based approach through engagement with the business on the implementation of a compliance management program through risk-based guidance and a deep understanding of business processes. They communicate effectively with key stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to influence 1 to 2 levels above role. They serve as a subject matter expert for various functions within the department.
Essential Job Functions- Lead, motivate, and assist in the development of the compliance testing team, inclusive of project supervision, associate training, and providing feedback to compliance testing associates on a recurring basis. - (40%)
- Plan and scope compliance transactional-related tests and control environment tests by assessing the applicable laws and risks. - (30%)
- Utilizing knowledge of the business area or process to develop an appropriate scope for review. - (30%)
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5-8 years experience in consumer credit, banking compliance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent education.
- Certifications: CRCM, CERP, CIA, CFSA, ACAMS, PMP, CPA, etc.
- 6+ years experience in Consumer Credit Lending and Banking Compliance.
- Evaluation of controls / processes specific to regulations such as TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, FCRA, SCRA, MLA, etc.
- Sufficient knowledge and exposure to writing SQL code and extracting and evaluating data from internal warehouses (EDW, EDH, Databricks).
- Exposure and knowledge with regards to AI tools and how to evaluate them for consumer compliance risk and IT risk against relevant guidance and industry framework (EX NIST / ISO 42001)

Work Environment- Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
