You’ll partner across Product, Sales, Marketing, Executive Leadership, and External Communications/Investor Relations to provide timely perspectives on an evolving annuity marketplace. At Athene, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact at scale within a growing retirement services business, supported by our strategic relationship with Apollo and a culture that values innovation, ownership, collaboration, and making things happen.

Accountabilities:

  • Turn complex competitive data into actionable insights and recommendations that inform rate-setting, product positioning, executive discussions, and broader business strategy.

  • Partner with Product Development and Product Management to incorporate market and competitive perspectives into new product ideation and enhancements to existing products.

  • Leverage technology, automation, data visualization, and emerging AI capabilities to improve the speed, scalability, and quality of competitive analytics while creating capacity for higher-value analysis and decision support.

  • Serve as a trusted competitive intelligence resource across the organization, responding to strategic and ad hoc business needs with accurate information, critical thinking, sound judgment, and a clear understanding of business implications.

  • Build and maintain an external market perspective through relevant industry committees and relationships with market research organizations and third-party providers of product and sales information.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the annuity or life insurance industry, including competitive intelligence, product development, product management, market analysis, or relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of annuity products, including product features, value propositions, competitive positioning, and the factors influencing customer and distributor decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, identify what matters, and translate data into concise, decision-useful insights and recommendations for audiences including senior leaders.

  • Strong critical thinking, creativity, and independent judgment, with the adaptability and bias for action to navigate changing priorities, solve problems, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with database, analytics, or data visualization tools, along with the AI fluency to identify appropriate opportunities to use AI and automation to improve efficiency, analysis, and insight generation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, management information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
