Senior Commodity Risk Management Consultant, you will bring advanced expertise in commodity markets and serve as a trusted advisor to high value clients while growing a portfolio through your leadership, market insight, and business development experience. What You'll Be DoingClient Advisory & Technical Leadership- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive risk management strategies for grain, dairy, and/or livestock clients using futures, options, crop insurance, and cash market tools.
- Manage physical commodity trading activities, including cash contracts, logistics, and procurement/marketing strategies.
- Provide expert interpretation of complex market data and advise clients with actionable recommendations.
- Conduct regular on farm and executive level client visits to strengthen relationships.
Business Growth & Relationship Management- Manage and expand a portfolio of consulting clients; leverage existing industry relationships to drive new business.
- Present high value proposals that demonstrate clear financial and operational impact.
- Engage in industry events, conferences, and producer meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to firmwide thought leadership.
What You'll Need for This Position- 5+ years of experience in commodity risk management, futures/options trading, physical commodity trading, agribusiness consulting, or related roles.
- Strong exposure to grain, livestock, or dairy markets with ability to advise producers and agribusinesses.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at all organizational levels.
- Detail oriented approach to navigating volatile commodity markets.
- Experience with CRM systems (Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to leverage data platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and digital communication methods to drive consulting value.
- Expertise in evaluating client challenges, interpreting multifactor market scenarios, and crafting tailored, strategic recommendations.
- Series 3 license required (or obtained within 60 days of start).
- Crop insurance licensing (MPCI/LRP/DRP/PRF) preferred.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% annually.

Compensation: When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Target earnings range from
$120,000 - 200,000, with significant upside for high performers.
