About the Role:

In this role you will develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to acquire new fiduciary and non-consumer deposit relationships while expanding and deepening existing client partnerships. Proactively identify, target, and engage prospective Public, Corporate, Commercial, and Commercial Real Estate clients through consultative outreach, relationship-building, and tailored financial solutions that align with client objectives.

Manage and grow a portfolio of fiduciary-focused deposit relationships by understanding client needs, delivering appropriate products and services, and strengthening long-term partnerships. Drive financial performance through profitable deposit growth, increased share of wallet, and the expansion of existing business relationships while consistently generating new client opportunities and market penetration.

  • Independently prospect on key industries that generate large deposit relationships and call on the prospects using a consultative working capital assessment approach to garner significant low-cost deposits combined with core fee income solutions.
  • Identify and attend industry conferences and business development events to source new prospects, becoming a subject matter expert on the respective industries and developing a network of prospects, referrals and centers of influence.
  • Collaborate with and indirectly manage the activities of key business partners to ensure full relationship development with multiple solutions to optimize the client experience.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of non-consumer deposit customers via referrals and self-sourcing in a segment or geographic territory.
  • Manage the most complex customer relationships and proactively study industrial, commercial, economic and financial situations relating to new or existing business.
  • Analyze the customer's deposit needs by engaging with them in a consultative business development approach and provide recommendations that add value and deliver strategic solutions.
  • Manage and apply pricing strategy and demonstrate a high level of understanding around Account Analysis billing systems for treasury management products.
  • Collaborate closely with servicing and operations across product lines to ensure clients receive superior operational support.
  • Develop and maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Proactively promotes and cross-markets bank products and services, and keeps client informed of special promotions.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
  • More than 10 years - of prior business development and/or relationship management experience for a Retail/Commercial Bank. (Required)
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, prospecting and total product set including the sourcing and structuring of credit, capital markets, cash management and Institutional Services & Asset Management, as well as concepts and principles related to industry product and services.
  • Strong relationship management and business development abilities, analytical and problem solving skills, strong sales skills, and credit and credit quality skills
  • Expert knowledge of business development and marketing techniques, bank lending policies and practices, bank operations and services, federal and state banking regulations, and the income and cost structure used to measure profitability.
  • Advanced knowledge of deposit and lending products and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to cross-sell the bank's products.
  • Proven track record of success and skills in developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing and networking. Also includes strong negotiating and closing skills and ability to create presentations and present to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.
  • Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.

The pay range for this role is $131,000.00 - $171,000.00.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
