Senior Cloud EngineerRadford, VAPosition Summary: You will support commercial cloud services infrastructure for a managed service provider that delivers hosting and managed cloud services in public clouds (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and private clouds.
Key Responsibilities:- Move on-premises applications to the cloud
- Engineer secure transport, including IPsec/VPN and BGP
- Automate infrastructure and routine administrative tasks
- Support CI/CD pipelines and code repositories
- Apply DoD STIGs and IA vulnerability management to cloud environments
Required Qualifications:- Experience in computer science or IT
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IA certification)
- Cloud computing environment certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
- Active Security Clearance Required
- Mid- to senior-level cloud engineering experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing several large projects successfully
- Strong experience with IPsec/VPN, other secure transport technologies, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Proven experience moving on-premises applications to the cloud
- Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
- Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
- Working knowledge of code repository tools such as Git
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
- CI/CD pipeline experience (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS CodeDeploy)
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience automating routine administrative tasks
- Senior IT networking experience or equivalent

Certifications: Security+ or equivalent IA certification. AWS or Azure Solutions Architect (or equivalent).
