Job DescriptionResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Produce quality design services that conform to applicable design standards/guidelines and codes.
- Negotiate schedules and budgets with Task Leaders and Project Managers.
- Prepare the civil engineering scope of work and budget for projects or studies.
- Collaborate with Project Managers in preparing Agency Board items.
- Provide guidance and direction to junior staff in engineering design approach and civil infrastructure.
- Perform site inspections at the Agency's facilities.
- Participate in and/or conduct meetings.
- Prepare RFP scope of work and independent staff cost estimate for professional engineering services to be performed by a Consultant. Critically review consultant proposals, negotiate cost, and ensure schedule/budget compliance.
- Audit consultant engineering studies, designs and contract documents for construction projects.
QualificationsQualifications:Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of professional engineering experience in design for civil infrastructure. including any of the following: airfields, stormwater and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution systenm, roadway design, pavements, or trackwork
- Valid driver's license.
