In particular, we are looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Haddon Heights, NJ. This person will be expected to contribute to our Site/Civil and municipal engineering projects by performing critical design & drafting functions.
Primary Responsibilities:- Perform CAD Drafting with AutoDesk Civil 3D while utilizing survey field data.
- Perform zoning reviews and concept plans for site feasibility and optimization based on client needs.
- Prepare complete Site/Civil plans sets including demolition, site layout, grading, utility, and SWM / E&S plans, road and utility profiles and typical sections.
- Prepare various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.
- Provide cut/fill volume computations.
- Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
- Provide mentorship to other staff members.
- Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- 8+ years of professional experience working in Civil Design and/or Civil Drafting.
- Proficiency with current ACAD Civil 3D software
This person may be expected to work in the field, as-needed, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus!
- Exposure to municipal engineering / infrastructure improvement projects.
- Experience coordinating directly with clientèle and regulatory agencies.
- Stormwater conveyance system and basin design is a plus.
- General understanding of land use regulations including municipal ordinances, water and sewer departments, County engineering departments, NJDEP, NJDOT and Pinelands Commission.
- Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.
- Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!
TARGET SALARY RANGE: $43 - $60 (per hour)
