Job Summary:- Develop and manage a defined portfolio of carrier partners with accountability for capacity reliability, service execution, and cost discipline.
- Build and expand Fuel's carrier network through strategic sourcing, onboarding, and relationship development across key regions and equipment types.
- Negotiate competitive market-aligned rates with carriers to support customer freight while protecting margin expectations and ensuring operational feasibility.
- Secure capacity across spot and contractual freight, ensuring awarded freight is executable and aligned with company service standards.
- Act as a strategic partner to carriers, building long-term relationships with carrier owners, dispatchers, and decision-makers.
- Maintain accurate carrier profiles, lane history, and performance data to support network intelligence and procurement strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Account Management, Pricing, and Operations teams to align capacity strategy with customer demand and growth objectives.
- Monitor carrier performance, proactively address service risks, and ensure consistent execution across all shipments.
- Leverage internal technology platforms and capacity tools to improve efficiency, automation, and carrier engagement.
- Support the growth and scalability of the brokerage by strengthening network depth, improving carrier utilization, and driving procurement discipline.
- Other tasks as required by the business.
Skills & Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of carrier sales, freight brokerage, or carrier procurement experience within a truckload brokerage environment required.
- Proven track record of successfully developing carrier networks and securing capacity in competitive market conditions.
- Strong understanding of truckload pricing, capacity dynamics, and freight market trends.
- Demonstrated negotiation expertise with the ability to secure capacity while maintaining margin discipline.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office, with basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and digital capacity tools is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, competitive, and results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Compensation is determined based on job-related factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, education, and internal equity for similar work. The base salary range for this position is $82,900 to $124,000 . The range provided in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay only and does not include any additional variable compensation. This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, 401K with company match.
