Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to support the tactical procurement activities in a fast-paced aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and issuing purchase orders across categories including controls & accessories, test hardware, and manufacturing support equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong supplier management skills, a solid procurement background under the FAR/DFARS, experience in regulated manufacturing environments, and the ability to drive cost savings while ensuring strict compliance with quality, delivery, and government regulations.

- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for various categories.
- Manage RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, bid analysis, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Procure electronics, PCB's, motors, pumps, tooling, test hardware, and related manufacturing support equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements and all government contracting regulations throughout the procurement process.
- Prepare, review, and maintain all required compliance documentation, including flow-down of government contract clauses to suppliers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Quality, Finance, and Program Management teams to support business objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, service agreements, and long-term supply arrangements.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure performance in quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Identify and execute cost reduction, process improvement, and supply chain risk mitigation initiatives.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and sourcing documentation within ERP/MRP systems.
- Support audits and documentation requirements related to AS9100, ISO standards, and government contracting compliance.

- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience
- 3-7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries.
- Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on sourcing experience with electronics, including PCBs, motors, and pumps.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related compliance documentation for U.S. government contracts.
- Demonstrated experience preparing, managing, and auditing procurement compliance documentation.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to read and interpret statements of work, and equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement analytics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Nice to have...- Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, additive, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with long-term supply agreements and logistics
- Experience reading engineering drawings.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $110,000-$135,000 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
