Full Job Description
Here at Zola, we're seeking an exceptional Senior Associate to join our business management team. This individual will help analyze and execute strategic initiatives across Zola. We're looking for a collaborative, scrappy, analytical problem-solver who can help dig into the data to drive actionable business decisions. You'll report directly to the Director of the Core Experience, and you'll partner closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and many other teams at Zola.

Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in analytical or quantitative work, whether that's in consulting, finance, strategy, or a high-growth company. You are a structured and creative thinker, equally comfortable building a financial model and synthesizing a market opportunity. You love data and customer insights, you are comfortable in Excel and dealing with large datasets, and you can prove your ability to learn new systems quickly. And you love working with kind, smart colleagues who share a commitment to putting the customer first!

You'll be responsible for:
  • Partnering across the business to identify and execute on key strategic initiatives
    • Analyzing and reporting on performance along our primary KPIs across the business
    • Collaborating with Product to identify new features and opportunities, and supporting them with performance analysis
    • Conducting business and financial analysis of new opportunities and ideas
    • Partnering with Finance and cross-functional teams to maintain and evolve the reporting cadences that keep the business running
    • Assisting in the preparation of board materials
  • Diving deep in the data to drive actionable business decisions
    • Owning the analysis and interpretation of A/B test results by synthesizing findings,and translating outcomes into clear, actionable recommendations
    • Analyzing complex data problems and communicating the key takeaways clearly to senior leadership
    • Translating ambiguous business questions into structured analyses that drive decisions
    • Developing and executing ad hoc strategic analyses as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS required
  • 3+ years of professional experience in an analytical role in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
    • Strategy, finance, or bizops experience preferred
    • Retail or consumer experience is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills; able to conduct analysis with minimal oversight
  • Proficiency in analyzing large data sets. Looker or a similar BI platform experience is a plus.
  • Excellent quantitative and Excel skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks in a highly ambiguous environment
  • Ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000. This full-time role will be hybrid at our office in NYC (Tuesdays & Thursdays).
