Sr Analyst, Equity and Alternatives BLM


Location 6 New York or Chicago

The primary purpose of the role is to focus on supporting the growth in CME 27s equity index business in prediction markets and new alternative investment products. Working with a senior business owner, the candidate will be expected to be strong analytically and able to provide strong data-driven assessments of the current product offering while also supporting a range of new product initiatives that contribute to growth in volume and revenues. The candidate will be required to interact withother functional teams at CME in order to deliver results across projects and obtain the insights required to enable informed business decisions, as well as improving efficiencies within the current business practices. The candidate should have strong interest in new markets to CME, namely Prediction Markets and new alternative investment products.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Actively support the daily execution of Equity and Alternatives BLM initiatives, including: product management, customer inquiries, reporting, and incentive program management while meeting deadlines.
  • The candidate will be expected to manage large data sets for analysis; be able to structure and process qualitative and quantitative data and help draw insightful conclusions.
  • Create and update business analytics reporting functionality to monitor key metrics across the equity index products and ensure data is easily accessible to team members and other internal stakeholders.
  • Candidates will be expected to think creatively to generate new ideas for future business growth, as well as proposing solutions to existing complex issues.
  • Support sales efforts by preparing business line managers and sales teams with tailored materials to drive client conversations and grow business.
  • The candidate will be required to represent the BLM team in cross functional projects and work with internal CME teams such as Clearing, Marketing, Sales, Research, Technology, and more.

While the role will be listed Monday-Friday, flexibility is required as markets continue to become less constrained by trading hours and more accessible than ever.


Qualifications Include

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial services and derivatives markets is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interest in the equity options market namely prediction markets, preferably with relevant experience in this area.
  • Bachelor 27s degree is required.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, including expertise in handling large data sets.
  • An understanding of the prediction market system and CME Group 27s adjacent markets, and particularly a strong desire to learn more.
  • Must have strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills, while managing multiple stakeholders and client needs.
  • Demonstrate a passion for financial and adjacent markets with close attention to detail and unafraid to ask questions.
  • Proven self-starter on projects and a desire to constantly assess and improve processes.
  • Flexible work schedule in given weeks where workload may necessitate a skew towards non-traditional work hours

The pay ranges for this role based on location are: Chicago: $89,300-$148,900 New York/New Jersey: $98,300-$163,900.
