The Sr. Manager, Audit is a key leader within the firm's Audit practice, responsible for leading multiple audit and assurance engagements from planning through issuance, delivering exceptional client service, developing high-performing teams, and supporting practice growth through technical leadership and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multiple audit engagements concurrently, including planning, risk assessment, staffing, execution, and final deliverables (25%)
- Provide technical leadership on complex accounting and auditing matters; oversee engagement quality, compliance with professional standards, and firm methodology (20%)
- Manage and coach engagement teams through direction, review, and on-the-job development; conduct timely feedback and performance coaching (20%)
- Own client relationships at the engagement level, including proactive communication, expectation setting, issue resolution, and identifying value-added opportunities (15%)
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability; monitor scope changes and coordinate billing and realization discussions (10%)
- Contribute to practice development, including proposal support, thought leadership, recruiting, training, and process improvement initiatives (10%)
- Stay current on auditing standards, accounting guidance, and regulatory changes; help implement best practices and process improvements across the Audit practice.
Leadership ExpectationsLead by example, build strong engagement teams, provide meaningful coaching, and foster collaboration and accountability across the practice.
Professional experience requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 7+ years of audit experience in public accounting (or equivalent assurance experience)
- Prior experience leading engagements and supervising teams
- CPA license required
- Industry experience (e.g., manufacturing, construction, financial services, not-for-profit) a plus
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to practice growth, recruiting, or training initiatives
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with QuickBooks Online, UltraTax, and AdvanceFlow.
- Exposure to complex audit engagements or specialized industries.
Work Environment & Schedule- Full-time, salaried, exempt position.
- Based in Fayetteville, AR or Springfield, MO.
- Travel to client locations as needed, generally within the firm's service area.
- Standard office hours with additional hours required during peak audit seasons.

Compensation for this role is designed to reflect both core responsibilities and individual contribution. This position is paid on a salary basis using a total compensation model, which includes a base salary plus performance-based incentive opportunities through the firm's Balanced Scorecard (BSC) program.
Incentive pay is earned and a portion paid monthly based on individual performance and is included as part of the role's total compensation.
Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, performance, and role alignment within the firm.
