Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Security Data Management (SDM) group is responsible for the management of data and systems related to enterprise security reference data and security life cycle events such as corporate actions, proxy voting, pricing and market data management.

The Senior Data Analyst plays a central role in the firm's middle office production cycle, combining hands-on execution of daily activities with oversight of outsourced services. This is a time sensitive production role with deliverables tied to market activity, trading deadlines, service provider cutoffs, and daily batch cycles. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the firm's security master, the administration of proxy voting, and the oversight of corporate action and pricing functions outsourced to a third-party administrator.

The Senior Data Analyst will interact daily with a broad range of internal teams including Domestic and International Research, Portfolio Implementation, Portfolio Accounting, Technology and other Operations groups. External communications will include market data vendors and third-party service providers.

The ideal candidate will bring data management experience, a control-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and a high degree of integrity. They must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while thinking critically and escalating issues appropriately.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily production tasks to establish, monitor, and proactively manage the firm's security master data in Eagle and Charles River, confirming integrations occur on time and correctly.
  • Perform ad-hoc, time-sensitive
  • Oversee daily pricing and valuation services performed by the service provider, according to the firm's Price Source Authorization (PSA); review end-of-day price exception and control reporting and resolve pricing issues by providing timely instructions back to the service provider.
  • Partner with the Pricing Committee on fair value activities and provide fair value price overrides.
  • Monitor daily reporting of upcoming events and provide leadership and coordination of corporate action events across all operational and trading teams.
  • Oversee corporate action processing performed by the service provider, ensuring accurate and timely handling of events by validating resulting entitlements, estimated prices, and position updates flowing into Charles River.
  • Coordinate voluntary election decisions with investment teams and submit responses within event deadlines.
  • Manage proxy voting events within daily production timelines, including monitoring upcoming votes, partnering with Research to ensure policy adherence, and ensuring timely and accurate vote submission across all securities.
  • Assist with market data vendor management and the implementation of market data solutions across the firm.
  • Leverage BI tools to analyze operational data and support quality assurance.
  • Partner with Technology teams on data integration and system enhancement projects that support production workflows.
  • Assist with developing and implementing procedures, documentation, and training materials for the team, including oversight procedures for outsourced functions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security reference data, proxy voting, market data, corporate actions and pricing.
  • Support departmental and firm-wide projects as needed. Serve as key contributor and team member in firm-wide data initiatives

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in investment management operations, preferably in a data management role
  • Knowledge of security types and characteristics (Equity, Fixed Income, Options)
  • Experience with security reference data, corporate actions, proxy voting, or pricing workflows
  • Experience with data tools or systems (e.g., Eagle RDC, SQL, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail with an understanding of downstream impacts
  • Ability to execute time-sensitive, deadline-driven production tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey data issues and production impacts clearly to stakeholders
  • Comfort working in recurring production cycles tied to market activity and trading timelines
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to assess issues and drive resolution
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Curiosity and interest in market data, industry trends, and evolving data practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Data Analytics, or a related field

Special requirements:

May be required to occasionally work during off-times (early morning hours and/or evening hours) due to special projects/deadlines. Working hours of the position may also vary from normal business hours and flexibility is key.

Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. If hired, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include a discretionary performance bonus and other Harris sponsored benefit programs.
