We are seeking an experienced
Senior Associate to join our
Outsourcing Practice. In this role, you will support multiple client engagements, perform accounting and tax-related work, and assist with the day-to-day delivery of high-quality client service. You will work closely with Supervisors, Managers, Directors, and Partners, interact directly with clients, and provide guidance to junior team members. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAccounting & Advisory Services- Prepare financial statements, and other accounting reports.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services, including write-up work, account reconciliations, payroll tax, and sales tax compliance.
- Review journal entries, account classifications, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Perform technical accounting research and assist clients with complex accounting matters.
Tax Services- Prepare individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns.
- Conduct tax research, prepare technical memoranda, and assist in identifying planning opportunities for clients.
- Prepare income tax projections and assist clients with federal, state, and multi-state tax compliance issues.
- Stay current on tax law developments and communicate relevant changes to clients and engagement teams.
Leadership & Team Development- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff and interns, providing ongoing feedback and technical guidance.
- Review staff work product to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to firm standards.
- Assist Supervisors and Managers with staff scheduling, workload management, and engagement staffing.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement.
Professional Development- Actively participate in continuing professional education (CPE), internal training programs, and technical learning opportunities.
- Attend professional development events, industry seminars, and networking activities to enhance technical knowledge and build professional relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS- Must be able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university required.
- Active CPA license, EA certification or progress toward certification preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
- Experience serving commercial, closely held, and family-owned business clients preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting/tax software (e.g., CCH Tax, Engagement, Caseware, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
- Must be able to travel locally to clients when required.
Compensation & Benefits:The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual's qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
