Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our Home Lending Decision Science team and support Product Strategy on the questions that drive prioritization across Home Lending. In this role, you will take ambiguous problems, turn them into a clear analytical approach, and deliver recommendations backed by strong analysis and business cases. You’ll work across teams to pull in the right inputs, evaluate tradeoffs, and size impact.

Job Summary
As a Senior Associate in Home Lending Decision Science, you will lead discrete analytics and business case workstreams that inform Product Strategy prioritization decisions. You will frame the problem, define success metrics, quantify impact and tradeoffs, and communicate a clear recommendation. You will coordinate across a matrix of partner teams to get the right analysis done and ensure the output is accurate, well-reasoned, and easy for leaders to act on.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead discrete decision-support workstreams for Product Strategy prioritization, from framing to recommendation.
  • Define hypotheses, success metrics, and measurement approaches aligned to the decision.
  • Quantify impact and tradeoffs, including ROI where relevant, and document key assumptions and sensitivities.
  • Develop clear storylines and materials that explain what you found, what it means, and what to do next.
  • Coordinate across partner teams (Strategy, Product, Marketing, Originations, Finance, Technology) to gather context, data, and constraints.
  • Anticipate stakeholder questions, including risks, edge cases, and confidence level, and address them in the first version of the work.
  • Translate complex analyses into concise takeaways and visuals that support timely decisions.
  • Manage multiple priorities and tight timelines while maintaining rigor and strong controls around accuracy and results.
  • Conduct targeted research (market, competitor, and internal performance) to support prioritization proposals and business cases.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations with accurate numbers and a strong “so what.”
  • Strong analytical foundation: hypothesis-driven problem solving, comfort with ambiguity, and judgment on depth versus speed.
  • Advanced SQL skills and working experience with at least one analytics language or tool (Python, R, or SAS).
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills: can align stakeholders, drive timelines, and close open questions across teams.
  • Strong communication and organization skills: can simplify complex work into a clear message without losing what matters.
  • Challenge assumptions and weak logic when the data doesn’t support the story.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Home Lending or mortgage domain experience (originations, marketing, pricing, credit, servicing, or channel performance).
  • Experience building business cases (impact sizing, ROI, and tradeoffs) to support prioritization decisions.
  • Experience in strategy, consulting, product analytics, or a comparable role focused on decision support.
  • Experience operating in a strong controls environment and producing work that holds up under review.
