- Actively improve technical accounting skills by becoming a subject matter expert (SME) in a complex accounting area of your choice through on the job feedback, performance evaluations, mentoring and firm-sponsored formal training programs including monthly CPE and SME training.
- Assist with public offerings, inclusive of performing audit preparation work, documenting significant accounting policies, and preparing the financial statements and related footnote disclosures.
- Assist with the preparation of S-1, 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K fillings related to IPO's, debt offerings and acquisitions.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues balancing client preferred solutions within the confines of the US GAAP structure.
- Demonstrating clear and concise writing, and verbal skills to communicate complex issues in simple terms to clients and team members.
- Producing quality deliverables evidenced through minimal review time and review notes.
- Complete the assigned internal control processes on 3-4 project teams, within the given budget with minimal supervision by:
- Creating process narratives, identifying key controls, and concluding on design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
- Demonstrating clear and concise writing, and verbal skills to communicate complex issues in simple terms to clients and team members.
- Producing quality deliverables evidenced through minimal review time and review notes.

- Responding to client needs and balancing the competing priorities with minimal client disruptions, while maintaining project progress.
- Given the startup environment of our clients, the ability to adapt to unexpected changes to timelines, deadlines, and the scope of work is a must.

Upon successfully demonstrating the skill set listed above you will have the opportunity to earn a promotion to Manager. As a Manager you will be responsible for:
- Building internal teams through participation in our mentoring program and interviewing.
- Managing one to several individual project teams, project scheduling, reviewing of workpapers, and being the primary point of contact between the CNM team and the client.
- Teaching the CNM team and advising firm clients as an SME resource in 2- 3 technical accounting areas.
Qualifications
Realistically, we need someone with a CPA or CIA license or who has a goal to obtain one in the near future. (We help you achieve this with time off for testing, paying for study materials, and paying for the exams). A strong accounting foundation with hands on knowledge of internal controls is really important.

Location: Our office is in located in Woodland Hills, but the location of our work is based on client locations primarily throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
