Role description:Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our Semiconductor Sector in Chandler, Arizona. In this role, you will report to the Architectural Department Manager and lead key technical design and coordination efforts for complex industrial projects. You will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet client needs, while ensuring quality, code compliance, and integration across disciplines.
As a senior technical leader, you will provide architectural expertise in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects, independently applying advanced architectural principles and judgment throughout all phases of design and documentation. This role also includes providing technical leadership, oversight, and mentorship to junior architects and designers.
Experience with A/E or EPCM consulting firms supporting projects in cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fabs, data centers, solar manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical facilities is highly desirable.
Role accountabilities: - Lead and apply advanced architectural design principles and practice-based graphical standards to contract documents.
- Provide senior-level expertise in design layout, building code analysis, material selection, specifications, detailing, and technical report writing.
- Evaluate and apply the technical performance of building materials and systems appropriate for complex industrial and high-tech facilities.
- Lead the development of design presentations, drawing packages, and construction documentation.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with zoning regulations, building codes, and applicable industry standards, coordinating requirements across project documentation.
- Manage and prioritize architectural scope across multiple concurrent projects, while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Coordinate closely with project engineers, internal design teams, and external stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Lead the coordination of architectural systems with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process engineering teams.
- Provide technical direction, quality review, and mentorship to Architect/Designers I and II and other developing staff.
- Support project leadership in resolving design and technical issues during planning, design, and construction phases.

Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Licensed Architect required.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture, with demonstrated experience in a similar senior-level role.
- Proven experience with A/E or EPCM firms, preferably supporting industrial, semiconductor, cleanroom, laboratory, or other advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction documentation, code compliance, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail and organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts, mentor junior staff, and work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to take ownership of assignments and work effectively both independently and in a team environment, while supporting multiple projects.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of international building codes; experience with industrial facilities projects strongly preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
