Position Summary...
The Senior Analyst, Strategy & Planning will support the strategic and financial planning of Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), helping shape business priorities and identify opportunities for growth. The role will lead and support annual and long-range planning, financial forecasting, profitability and pricing analysis, and the evaluation of new business initiatives. Working closely with Finance, Account Management, Supply Chain, and E-commerce teams, the Senior Analyst will translate data and market insights into recommendations that support business decisions and improve performance

Job Description

  • Lead and support the development of the WFS Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
  • Partner with Finance on monthly forecasting, business performance, and seller profitability.
  • Partner with Account Management to develop, evaluate, and monitor WFS program discount strategies and budgets.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategy, business priorities, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for new initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Support the launch and execution of strategic initiatives, including milestone and performance tracking.
  • Maintain key reporting dashboards and provide insights on performance against plans.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, E-commerce, and other functions to advance WFS strategic priorities.


Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in strategy, business planning, finance, analytics, or related roles, preferably within retail, CPG, 3PL, logistics, e-commerce, or marketplace environments.
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, profitability analysis, and P&L knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, R, and/or Python is an asset.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to support research, analysis, automation, and productivity.
