WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You'll join our Technology Services Group team in Boston. This team supports Bain's global business through technology products and services that help our teams work more effectively and deliver impact for clients. You'll collaborate with colleagues across functions, geographies, and seniority levels, partnering closely with product owners, product designers, engineering teams, senior stakeholders, Legal, Risk, and other technology teams.

WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

The Senior Analyst, TSG Product Management plays a critical role within a key performance management product at Bain. This role translates customer needs and feedback into an actionable backlog and then partners with the technical and design teams in an agile environment to ensure successful implementation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Drive change requests and stakeholder engagement (50%)
  • Understand key business objectives and strategy of the product from leadership
  • Elicits requirements for enhancement requests/new functionality, working with users to find elegant solutions to meet their needs while balancing technical realities
  • Identify, track and analyze key metrics, distilling to critical insights and actionable findings
  • Drives appropriate pilots, customer communication & training as needed

Product Delivery (40%)
  • (Internal products) Actively participates in appropriate Agile ceremonies for this product
  • (Internal products) Transform requirements into appropriate user stories at the right level of detail for the team with supporting materials like process flow diagrams as needed
  • (Vendor products) Works with technical teams and vendors to continuously optimize for Bain experience, taking new features and use cases into account
  • (Internal products) Acts as a resource for agile team, answering questions, testing the latest work, and providing input into work in progress

Domain Knowledge (10%)
  • Develops, maintains, and demonstrates domain knowledge including both internal (Bain) and external (market) trends


ABOUT YOU

Experience

3-5+ years of experience in the following:
  • Working in a corporate environment with responsibilities that require coordinating across teams and managing varied priorities
  • Investigating issues in software products or workflows, identifying patterns and root causes, and shaping clear recommendations
  • Gathering or interpreting user needs and contributing to requirements or enhancement discussions

Education
  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient with agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on understanding and addressing customer needs
  • Skilled in defining, documenting, and validating requirements, including breaking larger items into manageable components
  • Effective collaborator and thought partner, able to work with peers to develop strong solutions
  • Willingness to travel if needed


U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain's best in class benefits package (details listed below).

Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles.

The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
  • In Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $108,250 - $130,000
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus
  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
  • This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
