Full Job Description
The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Revenue Planning reporting to the Manager, Revenue Planning.

Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL

The Revenue Planning team is responsible for overseeing reporting, forecasting, and analytical functions for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity, and Silversea brands. Key responsibilities include forecasting cruise revenues and customer deposit cashflows, providing senior management with analysis summarizing business conditions, and involvement in quarterly Earnings Call preparations. The Senior Analyst will have consistent interactions with senior leadership in regularly preparing ad-hoc statistical analyses on varied topics including business conditions, demand trends and pricing trends. The Senior Analyst is expected to provide clear and data-supported recommendations for future opportunities and changes in strategy based on analyses. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing senior leadership and CFO weekly business updates of any risk/opportunity to the forecast, including trend analysis and change in behavior.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key contributor in the development of ticket, shipboard, and other auxiliary revenue forecasts in excess of $12 billion, which directly influences external financial guidance and reporting.

  • Provides weekly updates to CFO on any risk/opportunity to the Forecast/Plan inclusive of Net Ticket Revenue, Shipboard Revenue, and Other Revenue including any new trend analysis, and changes in behavior.

  • Manage and serve as subject matter expert for monthly Customer Deposit forecast and modeling (over $12B in collections annually) and monthly results accuracy reporting. This includes a complex forecast process, managing and evaluating accuracy, and managing relationships with internal partners (RMDS and Corporate planning) to align on forecast accuracy and model enhancements. This forecast is a key input of our corporate liquidity forecast which guides financing decisions.

  • Prepare numerous analyses, schedules, and presentations in preparation for the quarterly earnings calls, quarterly review decks, Board of Directors presentations, Executive Committee meetings, and other senior leadership presentations.

  • Regularly prepare detailed ad-hoc statistical analyses on varied topics including business conditions, demand trends and pricing trends.

  • Continuously search for potential business improvements, revenue opportunities and efficiency gains - develop, implement and lead projects that capture such opportunities.

  • Provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to the team of analysts in all aspects of revenue management and financial analysis.

  • Work alongside RM Development and Systems and Data Visualization teams to develop and improve revenue tools and PowerBI Dashboards with the goal of facilitating better decision making, reporting and forecasting, and additional automation.


  • Manage relationships with Revenue Management, Corporate Planning, Treasury, and other areas in order to ensure financial data is effectively communicated and understood.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • CPA/MBA preferred.

  • Three or more years work experience in an analytical field.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Familiarity with revenue management concepts and demonstrated aptitude for problem solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large and complex volumes of data to deliver useful insights to peers and senior leadership.

  • Superior skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Hyperion, and Essbase/EPM.

  • Ability to logically structure complex quantitative analyses.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences in both spoken and written formats.

  • Attention to detail required.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities independently on an ongoing basis and exemplify strong time-management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations required. Ability to be a storyteller to get across the "why" and not only just the "what".

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.

  • Ability to teach and coach a team of analysts.
