Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst of Category Management is responsible for proactively delivering strategic insight in support of Bimbo Bakeries' sales team. You will gain a complete and detailed understanding of defined categories through utilization of syndicated data and customer specific data sources. Daily responsibilities included but are not limited to, identifying market trends, missed sales opportunities, competitive threats, consumer trends, and pricing anomalies, while collaborating with key internal stakeholders

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes category leadership skills and processes to create actionable and relevant insights that can be applied to retailer specific category strategies and tactics
  • Be able to sell and influence internal stakeholders
  • Understand and apply shelving principles and guidelines
  • Modular/Planogram strategic ideation and execution, followed by tracking of results
  • Analyses of performance within account and ROM to develop actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with sales to couple insights with strategic initiatives and/or sales objectives
  • Advanced analytical reporting of panel and pos measures in IRI and Luminate
  • Understands and leverages opportunities within demographic measures to capture and retain customers in defined categories.


Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's degree required; an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Two to three years of related sales, category management, or analytical experience required; five or more years preferred.
  • Required experience in category management, shopper insights, or space management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced Scintilla reporting experience in both pos and shopper behavior required.
  • Experience with Power BI preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify meaningful insights, formulate recommendations, and translate findings into clear presentations and customer-ready action plans.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret diverse data sets and develop actionable business recommendations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of planogram tables, formulas, and libraries, and coding of highlights and JDA modular drawing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and support effective decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.
  • Proven initiative and leadership, including the ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and drive work through completion.
  • Experience in integrating AI systems technologies into everyday analytics.
