Senior Analyst, Business Planning - Foundry Operations

Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Business Planning - Foundry Operations will be responsible for supporting strategic and operational planning activities related to semiconductor foundry operations. This role will focus on demand forecasting, capacity planning, supply alignment, and operational analytics to optimize wafer capacity utilization and ensure supply continuity.

The position will work closely with cross-functional teams including Foundry Operations, Supply Chain, Business Units, Finance, and external foundry partners to develop accurate forecasts, identify capacity constraints, evaluate supply scenarios, and support data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain wafer demand forecasts and capacity planning models for foundry operations, including short-term and long-term capacity outlooks.
  • Analyze demand trends, product lifecycle changes, and business requirements to identify capacity needs and potential supply gaps.
  • Partner with foundry suppliers to monitor capacity allocation, wafer starts, production constraints, and supply commitments.
  • Support monthly/quarterly business planning cycles by consolidating demand forecasts, capacity requirements, and supply scenarios.
  • Perform capacity analysis and provide recommendations to optimize wafer allocation, utilization, and inventory levels.
  • Track foundry performance metrics, including forecast accuracy, wafer delivery performance, capacity utilization, and supply risk indicators.
  • Collaborate with Business Units, Product Management, Operations, and Finance teams to align demand signals and operational priorities.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate capacity outlook, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Support foundry negotiations and strategic planning activities by providing data analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced visibility across foundry planning processes.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business planning, supply chain, semiconductor operations, capacity planning, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, wafer fabrication, and foundry operations.
  • Experience with demand forecasting, supply planning, capacity modeling, and operational analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; experience with ERP/SAP, JDA planning systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver results with limited direction.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working directly with semiconductor foundries
  • Knowledge of semiconductor supply chain planning, wafer allocation processes, and capacity reservation models.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor product lifecycle management, technology migration, and wafer cost planning.
  • Experience supporting executive-level operations reviews and strategic planning initiatives.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $86,400 to $118,800.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
