87,200 - 106,600

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. What you'll do here:
- Participate in strategic initiatives that enhance pricing sophistication within ratemaking and help explain nationwide performance by supporting earnings call preparation.
- Deliver actuarial support for large-account pricing across more than 22 lines of business, strengthening governance through indications, rate committees, and corporate planning processes.
- Drive change by improving work processes, adopting modern technologies and making substantial observations, conclusions and recommendations.
- Use your expertise to resolve complex problems and help your colleagues in doing the same by sharing your actuarial knowledge.
- Help guide and prioritize the team's work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success.
- Share the conclusions of your analysis to the appropriate stakeholders and make recommendations within the established timelines.
What you bring to the table:
- University Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred.
- 3 years or more of actuarial experience (preferably in the P&C Insurance sector).
- Good knowledge with Python, VBA, R or SAS.
- Desirable competencies: adaptability, innovative, analytical, decision making, critical thinking, stellar communication, planning and organizing, team oriented.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
